Description
Custom manufacturer of heavy-duty steel products. Located in Jacksonville, Florida area – they are considered a “local” supplier to the Southeast United States but serve the entire U.S. and international community. They are a steel fabricator and conduct industrial assembly. Their engineer teams have the ability to fabricate small and large projects utilizing steel, stainless steel or aluminum.
Position: Welder Location: Green Cove Springs, FL *(located just 28 miles south of Jacksonville!)
Shift Hours: Monday – Thursday from 6:00am – 4:30pm; occasional Friday’s 6:00 am-2:00pm
Salary/Benefits: $19 - $25+/hr (depending on experience) + plus Overtime. Full coverage benefits with 401k matching
2 openings: 1 experienced Welder and 1 entry level Welder

Position Summary: As a Welder for Fox Manufacturing, you will perform welding tasks using various techniques such as Flux-Colored Arc Welding (FCAW) to fabricate, assemble, and build metal components.
Position Responsibilities:
• Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate production.
• Conduct welding on a variety of materials including sheet metal, ductwork, and pipes.
• Utilize equipment such as cranes and forklifts to move materials and assist in the welding process.
• Perform pipe threading and other related tasks as needed.
Behavior Competencies:
Ideal candidate would be a team player, be self-motivated, and have the ability to work with limited supervision.
Qualifications:
• Military veteran candidates are highly encouraged to apply!
• Proficient in FCAW and other welding techniques.
• Experience in working with sheet metal, ductwork, and pipe fabrication.
• Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints accurately.
• Familiarity with using cranes and forklifts for material handling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to fabricate precise components

Manufacturing Maintenance Technician: This is an 18-month training pathway that focuses on the upkeep and repair of industrial machinery within a manufacturing facility, performing tasks like preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, breakdowns, and making necessary repairs to ensure production equipment operates efficiently and safely; the training offers a broad range of technical skills including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics to diagnose and fix issues with complex machinery.
? Quality Control Technician: This is an 18-month training pathway that leads to Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification. You will become a Certified Manufacturing Associate; with skills in Calibration, Hole Standards, Thread Standards, ISO 9001, etc.
? Industrial Manufacturing Technician: a fast track, short term, 1-year registered apprenticeship program which focuses on the set-up, operation, monitoring, and production control equipment. You will learn general manufacturing processes & production, maintenance, quality practices, measurement, and safety measures.
? Production Technologist Associate: a fast track, short-term, 1-year registered apprenticeship program which focuses on basic manufacturing concepts for high demand, production and assembly roles.
