Position Details:
Title: Technical Product Engineer
Location: Shelton, CT (Long Hill)
Compensation: $130, 000/yr.-potential to go higher based on qualifications
o 10-15% yearly bonus
o Company vehicle provided (personal use allowed)

Travel: Shift/Travel: High Travel 50-70% (national/international-Canada)
o Travel will be to client sites for installation/launch support (CA, CO)
o Can be 2-3 days out of the week or extended travel (up to 2 weeks)

Position Details:
The Technical Product Engineer is responsible for support of the assigned company products in the company North America market. The applicant must be capable of working both individually and as a team to ensure and provide support for the products for which they are responsible. The work of the Technical Product Engineer must be compliant with company’s quality system including design controls and good manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities:

• Act as Technical Product Engineer for assigned systems and products, both hardware and software.
• Performs tasks related to the evaluation, design and/or modification of equipment with a view to optimizing its operation and performance (mechanical and automation aspects).
• Interface with Customers/Sales to collect unique or new product requirements/specifications.
• Acts as being part of The Center of Excellence to advocate company North America (TNA) requirements. Works as liaison across departments to ensure customers' needs are met.
• Ensure that product conforms to specification and TNA business requirements.
• Act as a team member regarding product quality and reliability.
• Ability to understand electronics and electromechanical systems/automation.
• Lead analysis, root cause investigations, corrective action planning and implementation for product quality issues.
• Interface with managers, technicians, IT and customers on a regular basis.
• Acts as local project engineer for specific market requirements.
• Ability to collect and analyze product performance data and utilize to continuously improve product performance.
• Manage vendors and outside parties to ensure deadlines are met.
• Participate in Engineering Change Orders and documentation changes.
• Fluent and proficient with MS Office
• Have strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to travel to support installations throughout North America.

Education:

• BS degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent/automation.

Qualifications:

• Experience in the design, development, and analysis of complex electrometrical & automated systems
• Knowledge and understanding of electromagnetic, laser, and electromechanical technologies is preferred
• Experience in quality management, manufacturing methods, and procedures, market introductions, and performance improvements in technical products
• Experience in creating and performing technical presentations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Working knowledge of hardware and software development methods (PLCs) Advanced
• Knowledge of Schneider and Allen Bradley PLCs (programming and design)
• Strong technical and decision-making abilities
• Ability to solve technical problems in a fast-paced team environment
• Technical Learning management & documentation
• Good communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with potential customers to understand their needs.
• Working knowledge of project management principles
