I first heard about Orion International through my TAP class and started working with Tony Hoffman.  He always gave positive feedback and constructive criticism. He wasn't afraid to tell you about any ‘hiccups’ in plans and would always give you an inside view of what working for X company would feel like. Whether it be based on other people’s experiences or from speaking with the company representatives, Tony made me feel comfortable.  He definitely listened when I had any concerns, and, on more than one occasion, crunched numbers with me and spoke about my personal goals to assist me in my decision with the company I finally decided on.

I could never have accomplished what Orion did for me. I was scared and felt alone - what was I to do?  There are many horror stories that we all hear in the military about people who have been separated, and I did not want to be one of them. I reached out to Orion, and they helped. BIG TIME.

I went to an Orion hiring conference and walked in with four interviews. I came out with four positive results and four follow-up interviews. I am now the Quality Assurance Technician for TH Hill. From my Nuclear MM Career, I was intimately familiar with Quality Assurance and the whole Quality Control process. My qualifications and knowledge given to me from the Navy (thanks again, Navy!) assured me that this position was a perfect match!  It gives me plenty of room to grow, while still being an easy transition.

Orion gave me a choice in what I wanted to do with my life. I wasn't limited by my rate anymore; I could pursue anything that I wanted. I am now working for a great company, making more money that I thought I could, and I am able to set my own career path. I could never pay back the freedom that Orion has given me – and although I do miss the Navy, I am no longer scared to be a civilian.

To my fellow Nukes and Submariners: contact Orion as soon as possible! Whether you're getting out tomorrow or next year, they will help you every step of the way! Even if you've never written a resume, they will sit down with you and turn it into something spectacular. Orion FAR exceeded my needs.  I could never have asked for more!  Thanks, Orion!
