After serving for nine years in the Navy, I began to look for a new career in May 2006 and separated from the military in September of that year. I decided to try Orion after hearing about them at my TAP class, as well as word of mouth. In my opinion, Orion’s slogan should be “One shot, one kill!” I only went to one hiring conference and received three job offers! I ended up with a technical position with KLA-Tencor as Customer Support Engineer, which is the type of position I was looking for. Orion definitely helped make the transition to the civilian work world painless.
Jim Lewis was my recruiter at Orion. He was in constant communication with me, and I always felt that my needs were considered every step of the way. In fact, I have given Jim’s name to many of my friends that will be separating from the military. Orion and Jim absolutely met my needs. They were tenacious in helping me find career opportunities and avenues.
Orion really has no competition. Of all the firms I contacted, Orion was the most prompt in contacting me back and getting the ball rolling. Some firms still haven’t bothered to contact me. As long as Orion keeps beating everyone to the punch, they’ll remain number one in the business!
