Project Equipment Manager

Southeast
US Coast Guard,

I am just completing my six-month probationary period with Crom Corporation, and I could not be happier. I feel this position is a great fit with my mechanical background, and I believe I have Orion International to thank for opening the door!

I was a Chief Warrant Officer 3 Naval Engineer specialty with the U.S. Coast Guard when I left the military in August 2006. I began searching for a job the next month. I heard about Orion back in 2001 when I first intended to separate from the service, but went with one of Orion’s largest competitor, where I was treated very badly. I refused to do business with them ever again and came to Orion this time around.

My Orion recruiter treated me with the utmost respect and listened to my needs while helping me maintain a realistic set of expectations. I attended a hiring conference and came away with a position as a Project Equipment Manager with Crom Corporation. I believe I have found the type of job I can do for the rest of my working career.

As I stated earlier, Orion’s competition treated me poorly, and even though the person assigned as my recruiter was from the same branch of service as myself, he told me not to call him until I was on terminal leave.... As for Orion and both the staff in Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida, I have had a great experience.

I would like to extend my thanks to all of the Orion employees that I have dealt with. When I talk to my military friends, I always recommend they contact Orion International and tell them about my experience. Thanks again for all of your assistance!
