Industrial Maintenance Electrician

Southeast
US Army, E-5

I joined the Army in August 2000. During my eight years of service, I attained the rank of sergeant (E5) with MOS 21P (Prime Power). I began terminal leave in July 2008, and my ETS date is later this month. My job search began November 2007. Several of my colleagues had found jobs through Orion International after the military, so I used their services, among others.

My Orion recruiter treated me in a friendly but professional manner, gave me fast feedback, and was easy to contact. I attended an Orion Hiring Conference in May and interviewed with two companies. I ended up accepting a job offer with one of them. I was looking for electrical work either in a traveling service job or a plant job. I finally chose the latter.

In comparison to other recruiting agencies’ conferences, Orion gave more information (who I would be interviewing with, etc.) before the conference and allowed more input from me concerning my interviews before the conference. They also gave me faster feedback after the conference than the competition.
