Shift Supervisor
Southeast
US Navy, E-6
I was in the Navy for 20 years as a Gas Turbine Systems Mechanical and retired in June 2007. Orion International’s services were brought to my attention both through a colleague who had used them, as well as through TAPS class. My recruiters treated me almost like family, meaning they did everything possible to help me find a job. They helped me with my resume to interview tips and preparation so I was well prepared for my interviews.
I was given all the information needed to be successful at the hiring conference, such as what to expect and what to bring and what companies were going to be at the conference, well before the conference began. This made things so much easier and not so hectic. I interviewed for an Auxiliary Operator position with PMEG, but, after my interview, I was hired to be a Shift Supervisor, which was a welcomed step up in terms of pay. This job is exactly what I was looking for, because I am doing what I did in the Navy.
Orion is ranked Number One in my book. I attribute this to the fact that recruiters have the same military background as those of us who are transitioning. This helps Orion to understand what a number of the people getting out of the military are going through. Orion exceeded my needs. Even with my location constraints, they helped me get a job.
I would recommend Orion to everybody I know, military or not, because of how they do business. With Orion, it’s about the people they are trying to help, not the numbers. Thanks again for all your help. I told them thanks already but would just like to take this time to say it one more time. THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL THE HELP!
