Field Service Engineer

West
US Navy, E-7

I spent several months prior to separating from the military seeking employment with little to no luck. I had a few responses via email and fielded several telephone calls inquiring about specific skill requirements for various positions. Although I know I was more than qualified to handle several jobs, most of the employers were interested in very specific direct experience in certain areas.

Given the varied background of military personnel and the variety of skills we acquire over time, specific experience in one area of expertise over several years is hard to find among us. Orion International was the only organization who recognized how my military experience translated into civilian skills. They were able to correlate it directly to an interesting position that matched my skill set.

I am now employed with Rigaku International and feel as though I am part of a real team solving real world problems in the high-tech industry. My job directly impacts our customers’ satisfaction. My military background has provided me with a very customer-oriented point of view, which I now utilize to ensure our customers’ needs are met and that the Rigaku name is noted as a professional and customer-oriented organization.

I have the highest regard for Orion. Their ability to help former military personnel is beyond reproach. Through Orion, I had multiple job offers prior to making a final decision and made several contacts with various companies.

Jim Lewis acted in a very professional manner. They were very good at keeping me informed and keeping the process going. Jim aggressively pursued employment opportunities and made my search for employment not only stress free, but also enjoyable. Thank you, Orion International!
