Control Room Supervisor
South Central
US Navy, O-3
As a Lieutenant in the Navy, I was the Main Propulsion Assistant for a year-and-a-half. Most recently, I was the Communications Officer. I started terminal leave on December 12th 2008, but began my job search in August. My Orion recruiter was Bob Berkholz. He was very straight forward and helpful during my search. Bob listened to and considered my needs.
Due to my late terminal leave and the operational schedule of my ship, I was unable to attend hiring conferences until mid December. I had several phone interviews and an onsite interview three days after I started terminal leave. Thanks to that interview, I will be in Senior Reactor Operator qualifications for the Control Room Supervisor position. This position met my requirements for responsibilities, stability, salary, location, and growth potential.
I have recommended Orion to all of my former colleagues. Orion worked to get more quality interviews than other recruiters I used. It was a pleasant experience working with Orion. I was able to find my new career just days after starting terminal leave, which is great with the holidays upcoming.
