I have been enlisted for 26 years and felt I had a handle on the job opportunities out there. With my Bachelors of Science in Information Technology and my background in Human Resources, I just knew I was going to find a job. I found myself sending out resume after resume with no response and no interviews. I had mailed out over 100 resumes and spoke to a few HR folks on the phone, but I still had no job prospects in the future. I was getting short on time and about to retire when I was contacted by Orion. I wasn’t sure who Orion was nor did I know how they found me, but, at that point, I was ready to accept any help I could get. Within a week of talking to my recruiter on the phone, he had me scheduled for my first interview with a company that was looking for the same job I had been searching for. Not only did they get the interview but Orion spent time prepping me for the interview and gave an extensive background on the company. I didn’t get the job but there were several well qualified applicants, and this was my first face-to-face interview and a very good learning experience.
Within a couple of weeks, my recruiter had me back in the saddle again coming to a job conference where there were at least a dozen employers looking for applicants with my skill-set. I participated in nine interviews and from that I have had two solid prospects. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with the professionalism and technical expertise Orion staff members bring to the table. Looking for a job can be a daunting task, but in the hands of Orion you are sure to have the solid coaching and assistance necessary to land your next job. It is without hesitation that I recommend Orion International to anybody who is transitioning out of the Military. I feel my ACAP office was remiss in not including them in the three-day workshop.
