I was an Aircraft Maintenance Office in the Air Force and am currently serving in the Air Force Reserve. I started looking for a new career in late May 2008 by placing my resume on an internet job search engine. I was soon in touch with Orion International and began working with Bob Berkholz.
He hit the ground running by explaining exactly what I needed to do for the hiring conference that was held in Dallas. Unlike other agencies, Orion matched me up with companies without seeing me in person. Bob understood that as military officer we represent ourselves very well and moved in a direction of matching me up with the right clients.
I came to the Dallas hiring conference and interviewed with six companies. After the conference, I ranked the companies with which I had interviewed. Interestingly, two of my top three companies were added on to my interview list during the conference! I ended up receiving two job offers and a follow-on interview.
I was looking for something that would keep me challenged in a technical area where I could still lead people. Orion exceeded my needs by suggesting that I interview with companies that were not necessarily my first choice. Other recruiting agencies cannot compare to Orion. Bob and his recruiters were very professional and expeditious in setting me up for interviews with the right companies.
Bob deserves great praise in identifying me as a potential candidate and helping me navigate the career search process. I never expected that my career search would end up being a short process.
