Project Engineer

Midwest
US Navy, O-3

I separated from the Navy in February 2008 after six years of active duty as a Surface Warfare Officer. My Orion International candidate recruiter, Todd Phillips, was absolutely great. He really took the time to learn exactly what I was looking for in corporate America. He was also sensitive to my geographic preference and didn’t try to sell me on something outside my desired location.

Like many transitioning JMOs, I signed up other recruiting firms in addition to Orion. Coming right off active duty, it was hard to distinguish one from another. Believe me, there is a big difference! I learned that first-hand. The time and effort Orion’s staff put into preparing me for my interviews was invaluable. This personalized level of attention is something other recruiting firms just don’t provide.

I’d like to say thanks to Todd, and the account reps at Orion who worked to secure me several great opportunities. I’m now a project engineer with one of the most respected construction management firms in Chicago. The position is demanding, fast-paced, and challenging. Within days I was using my experiences as a JMO to have an impact on the company. I’ve already recommended Orion to several friends, and they’ve each had similar experiences. Trust Orion – you won’t be disappointed!
