Management Trainee

I was a Captain in the Army Infantry and most recently served as a Rear Detachment commander after various platoon leader positions, including a year-long tour in Iraq. When it came time to look for a new career, I utilized Orion International. JP Sniffen was my recruiter at Orion, and he was great! He was very frank and honest about the opportunities available to me.

I went to the Seattle hiring conference and came away with two great opportunities. I felt extremely well prepared for each interview and meeting. The staff always made sure I was in the loop, even during a busy holiday season. I knew exactly where I stood with each organization that was considering me.

I had multiple follow-up interviews and was offered a job by two of the companies within the same week. I was able to choose between two great jobs that were competing for me. I will be a management trainee at Roseburg Forest Products for the first year and then placed somewhere within the organization. Roseburg is committed to teaching me the ropes at their company, and they will place me according to my strengths in their large organization.

Orion was great. I went to two hiring conferences run by recruiting agencies other than Orion, and I was much more impressed with the businesses in the Orion conference. The companies that Orion works with seem more stable and local than those that the competition presented at conference. Orion offered my family and me stability and the commitment to helping me develop into a successful business leader.
