Maintenance Technician

Northeast
US Navy, E-3

I separated from the U.S. Navy in 1997, where I served as a Damage Control Fireman. After deciding to start a new job search in the beginning of 2006, I posted my resume on Monster.com and was soon contacted by Jim Stafford at Orion. I began the process with Orion and went to a few interviews, which helped me prepare for the successful interview I had with my current employer. It took about three months from when Orion contacted me for me to start at my new job with Micron. This is exactly the type of job I was looking for. I maintain the equipment used to produce computer memory in cell phones. It was great working with Jim and the all the men and women at Orion. They were very detailed and did an excellent job matching my skills with a potential employer. Orion has a very clear focus on matching specific skill sets with employer needs. They provide a better service for former servicemen and women than any other recruiting firm. I was so impressed with Orion, that I recommended them to a friend with prior service in the USMC, and he got hired with Micron, as well. I also gave Orion’s business card to the local VA Vocational Rehabilitation Office, so they could better assist other veterans. I would like to thank Jim and the staff at Orion for helping me get to the place in life, career-wise, that I have always wanted to be.
