I learned of Orion International from one of my friends that I worked with in the military, as well as at the job fair that is conducted every year at MCAS Yuma. I really appreciate all the hard work Orion put into finding me a job. Trying to find a job is stressful enough, especially wanting to get out of the military, having a family to support, and just worrying how everything would go after I get out. Orion really came through for me.
Quang Truong was my recruiter, and he treated me very well. I experienced no problems whatsoever, and, if I ever had any questions or concerns, I was able to contact someone, and they got back with me at a reasonable time frame. I really do feel that I was listened to and that all my needs were met.
I attended an Orion hiring conference in which we had a few briefs that explained the do's and don’ts of an interview. As a group, we even practiced basic questions and intros to help us loosen up before the interviews, which did help with confidence. And then we went off for interviews with the companies that we had previously chosen and that the recruiters thought would be a good match.
From there, if a company was interested in me, I had to fill out some minor paperwork for a background check. After they received all the paperwork requested, they spoke with my recruiter and told him the offer that they wanted to extend to me. My recruiter then talked with me about this and asked if this is what I wanted, salary range and all, and even gave his own opinion about the offer.
I am now working as a Field Service Technician for LG Electronics. This is definitely the type of job I was looking for. I want to thank everyone at Orion that made it possible.
