Project Manager

Northeast
US Coast Guard, O-2

My military background as a LTJG, IT Program Manager gave me the confidence and dedication necessary to be successful in the civilian sector.  I can now apply this confidence and dedication in my new career with Skybuilt Power. Working with Orion to find my current position was a pleasant and rewarding experience.  I have a great position now with an exciting company and will highly recommend Orion to my peers.

Chris Hurst, my recruiter, treated me very well and focused on my needs.  He made sure that the companies he introduced me to were of interest to me and fit my description of "the ideal job." Orion matched candidates with potential employers based on the likeliness of compatibility, as opposed to blindly throwing a dozen companies at you and hoping that you may find one or two of interest.

Due to my intense work schedule, I was unable to attend any hiring conferences.  This made it extremely important for Chris to match me up with companies that would be a good match for both me and the company.  When Chris told me about Skybuilt, I was immediately interested based on the company/position description and location.  Chris then setup a phone interview that answered any questions I had about the company.

After the initial phone interview, I was invited to SkyBuilt Power's headquarters and met with the Operations Manager and one of the Project Managers.  Chris and Rob Valenza, an Orion account executive, helped me prepare prior to the interview and were able to answer all of my interview related questions.  After the first in-person interview, I was invited back to meet with the company President.

The interview went well, and I was offered a position later that week.  The whole process was made efficient and effective by the outstanding communication between all parties, the willingness of each member of the Orion team to be as involved and readily available as possible, and the excellent employer/employee matching abilities.
