The best piece of advice I have on working with Orion is to listen to the Orion staff; they know what they are talking about! JP Sniffen was my recruiter, and he treated me very well. In fact, he is still keeping track of me to help me with the transition even after I have the offer.  Even in the slower economy, he was able to find several companies where my desires and skill set fit in, and I was able to pick between them.

I found the Orion hiring conferences to be a big help in getting a feel for what type of companies I wanted, however my job actually came a direct hire situation. I had two phone interviews and a site visit. Orion listened to what I wanted, and, just as importantly, advised me to take interviews that I wasn't initially interested in.  These interviews helped me get a good feel for all the different jobs out there and enabled me to be sure that I was making the right call when it came to deciding on what job I would take.

And while the conference situation is similar at various recruiting agencies, I found Orion’s recruiters to be the best in that JP was very involved with me. He was focused on finding me the right job, and he did just that. I now work for Bloom Energy as a Senior Systems Engineer.
