I was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force and left the military on June 1. I learned about Orion International after doing an internet search looking for help for transitioning military. I worked first with Bob Berkholz since I lived in Oklahoma, and was then shifted to Todd Phillips because I wanted to move back to Chicago-land. I was treated extremely well by my recruiter; he always put my needs before anything else. I was treated as someone that had a lot to offer a number of different companies, even if my experience level wasn't on par with the majority of applicants. I believe that everything that was done was outlined by my thoughts and feelings and the Orion recruiters helped mold that into the best approach.

I went through a series of telephone calls with my Orion recruiters to find a good match for me. As I was unsure of what type of position I wanted, my first hiring conference (Chicago in April) was filled with about 10 interviews from all sorts of companies to include Homebuilders, Financial Institutions, Manufacturers, etc. It was all across the spectrum which helped give me an understanding of which path I wanted to take. After the hiring conference, my recruiters still worked with me as I went on several on-site visits. They were there every step of the way to ensure all my questions were answered and I felt confident walking into these companies. After I received an offer, my recruiters were also there to help me finalize everything. I was unsure of how to approach the offer - counter offer stage, and they were there to guide me to the best possible outcome. I will be a Construction Superintendent for KB Home, and this was the first choice on my list. Orion exceeded my needs by always being there to help answer any questions that came up, and they also took time to get to know me and where I wanted my future to be. I really do appreciate everything they've done!!!

There really was no comparison between Orion and their competition. I was working with several other recruiting services which seemed to be more of a cattle call than anything. I was treated like an individual with Orion, not someone else to make them money. My recruiters took a genuine interest in making sure I was offered the jobs that I wanted. The competition just had me hanging on a string.

I have to admit that I was at first skeptical of what to expect; however, Orion International and their great recruiters helped ease the anxiety of the job hunt. I personally was only in the job market for three months from the time I put in my separation papers until the acceptance of a new position. I know in this day and age that is definitely a rarity. I will only speak in the highest regard for Orion International and their recruiters. I have already given several referrals, and I hope they take advantage of the great opportunities Orion can help them find.
