My most recent job search started in September 2011. I tried to look on my own for a month, but my contacts quickly ran out and my efforts were becoming futile. I had no inside track to employers.  I had been trying to get my own business off the ground, and ran out of money after a year.   It had become time to find a job to pay the bills. Orion not only found a fit for the things I wanted out of a job, but a fit for the things I find professionally rewarding and in the geographic area of my desire.

I interacted with a number of people at Orion, including Bob Berkholz, Dave Lehmkuhl, Mike Harvey, and Chris Casanave.  All were extremely active in helping me sort through options, prepare for interviews, and follow-up with the companies by getting their feedback.  They were personable, attentive, and proactive!  I didn't feel like a cash cow with my desires ignored so that someone could make a buck off me like I had felt with other recruiting firms.  

Orion should start a dating service! They took what I wanted, found compatible employers, and placed me in front of them in a very rapid fashion.  I was amazed, because in a down economy I expected things to go slowly. Within two weeks, I was being courted by multiple companies. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
