I began searching for jobs about six months prior to my ETS and was referred to Orion by a co-worker.  Upon submitting an application, Todd Phillips reached out to me and began to work diligently on my behalf.  Todd immediately began to prepare me for hiring conferences by assisting me with my resume preparation, interview preparation, and giving me an insight on current trends and analysis on current market conditions.  He kept me motivated. Not only did Orion exceed my needs and expectations, but at the end of my career search, I was presented with approximately four job offers.  

One thing that I would like to pass along to other fellow candidates is that as long as you can be yourself and remain professional in an interview, exceptional things that can happen.  I have a background in human resources, and there are very few positions available in that area. I interviewed for positions that I had other exposure to and was able to still overcome that barrier.  I will never forget going in to interview for Production Supervisor roles at the last Chicago hiring conference and landing offers for a few human resource positions that were not even publically available due to my background and personality. 

I’ve spent thousands of dollars on plane tickets, hotels and rental cars to attend other recruiting firms’ hiring conferences. I was either faced with career opportunities in fields I had no interest or showed up to a hiring conference and companies did not show up. By far, Orion was better equipped to handle military talent and was able to identify each individual’s strong areas and place them in front of companies.  

My transition could not have gone any smoother.  I was able to gain employment with NTH Works as a Human Resource professional, a career field that I had been longing for since my job search started.   From day one, Todd kept in contact with me on a weekly basis, gave me opportunities for target hire interviews, and was able to keep me informed of any new positions that may have come up.  The individual attention that Todd gave me in regard to my transition made me feel as if I was the only candidate that he managed. He took great care of me and my transitional needs. I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world.  Thanks, Todd!
