Assistant Project Manager
West
US Marine Corps, O-3
My Battalion Executive Officer strongly recommended Orion International to me after he left the service and was placed in a job by them. When I began searching for jobs after my terminal leave in mid April, I contacted Orion.
Marc Thomas was my recruiter. He was very helpful and easy to work with, and once we figured out exactly what it was I wanted to do, he got me squared away with the Distinguished Candidate Conference in San Diego.
I participated in an interview prep session with Marc one day on base and then attended the conference and was really impressed with the companies that Orion brought to the event. I was able to accept a job offer as an Assistant Project Manager. My job requires detailed planning, working with people from various backgrounds, and supervising others in the execution of their duties, all things I had to do every day as a Marine Infantry Officer.
Orion was great, because they were able to give me interviews. It’s very challenging for folks like me who come out of combat-oriented professions in the military to convey our skills and accomplishments to a civilian employer. Orion helps overcome this obstacle, because they know what to look for in folks coming out of the military. Thanks for your help!
