At Orion, I worked with Doug Bell and Chris Casanave. Chris, Doug, and the other Orion staff performed superbly. They were friendly, on time, and knowledgeable. I was very happy with the staff, performance, and results.

I am currently a Maintenance Supervisor at Vallourec Star (formerly V&M star). After only a month-and-a-half on the job, I am applying to a higher safety position with full endorsement from my boss. I couldn't be happier. I make more money than when I was in the military and have better benefits (medical, dental, sight, overtime pay option, stock options, quarterly bonuses, night shift compensation pay).

My advice to my transitioning colleagues is to be flexible as far as location. I had initially wanted to live in San Antonio, Texas, but didn't realize the area didn't pay as well as Houston, Dallas or Austin. And don't get discouraged; I submitted over 150 resumes, did the USA jobs thing, and didn't get any bites. KEEP the FAITH and your HEAD UP!
