I think I am a different than most of the candidates Orion helps. I have been out of the United States Navy for over five years now and retired as a Senior Chief Petty officer. At the time, Orion did not have a position in the specific location I wanted to be in for my daughter, but said they would check back in five years when she went to college.

I didn't expect that the story would go much farther. However, in December 2012, Tony Hoffman of Orion called and asked if I was ready to move. I told him to call me in May 2013. So Tony called me back at the end of May and told me if he couldn’t get me a great job, he would quit his job.

I began working with Matt Clingon, as well, and did everything they asked of me. Within two weeks, I was at a hiring event interviewing for two great job opportunities. After my last interview that day, I checked with Matt and Tony, and they said they would let me know how things went.

I started my drive back Charleston and had barely crossed the James River Bridge when they were calling to tell me that both companies wanted a second interview with me. I completed both second interviews and was almost immediately was given an offer. I can’t express my gratitude for Orion, especially Matt and Tony, enough. Orion is a highly professional organization and delivered on everything they promised.

Tony, you can keep your job; you guys were great. I am now packing my daughter off to college, and I am heading off to start my awesome new career. Thanks for everything!
