Front Line Supervisor
Northeast
US Army, O-3
Chris Hurst made contact with me after I reached out to Orion. He was always professional and to the point. He gave me realistic expectations, but positive encouragement throughout the process. He seemed genuinely happy for me when I received an offer, which I found to be an admirable trait for a recruiter.
Chris helped me establish a current resume to fit Orion's requirements, and he immediately found an opportunity at Honeywell for me. I interviewed with Honeywell only after about 10 days from my initial contact with Orion, and two weeks after the interview, I was given an offer of employment.
I am a Front Line Supervisor at one of Honeywell's production plants. My position calls upon my ability to manage a small team of professionals and critically analyze operations to identify safety concerns and production trends. The management aspect is similar to being a platoon leader, while my executive officer experience can be related to much of the systems maintenance and the identification and completion of work orders for the materials being used. As a company commander, I have learned to prioritize tasks, delegate authority, and oversee large-scale production, which has given me confidence to take on a position outside of the military structure.
I had been working with a different recruiting agency that asked me to spend significant time filling out paper work to meet their registration process but failed to show any return. Orion was personable by calling me directly and showed enthusiasm at placing me in opportunities to find employment.
I am truly grateful for Orion's role in me finding a great career. I had been stubborn about finding a career position on my own; but after years of coming up short, it only took Orion one month. They were true professionals and showed genuine interest in me finding employment.
