I had the pleasure of working with Orion, namely Todd Phillips and Scott McNary, during my military-to-civilian transition. I decided early on that I wanted to transition into the civilian job market in a sales position, with the primary focus on three or four particular market sectors that interested me. Being that my work experience almost exclusively consisted of operations management roles, I knew it would be a challenge.
Todd and Scott got me up to speed on preparing for sales interviews (which can be much different than interviews for other types of positions) and gave me the opportunity to get in front of multiple top-tier companies. During a social mixer between candidates and company representatives at one of Orion's hiring conferences, I ended up conversing with a high-level sales director for a Fortune Global Top 50 company. Though I was not initially scheduled to interview with this particular company, the Orion team moved some things around the following day and ensured that we got a chance to meet in a more formal interview setting.
