Job Description – Maintenance Mechanic
Responsibilities:
· Dismantles and moves machines and equipment/ replaces defective parts.
· Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
· Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
· Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
· Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and submitting requisitions.
· Completes routine preventive maintenance.
· Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
· Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment.
· In-depth knowledge of system maintenance
· Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
· Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
· Skilled in analyzing information and communication
Essential Job Functions and additional Requirements:
· Ability to work overtime, off shifts and weekends as needed.
· Must be able to stand 8 to 12 hours per day.
· Must have ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
· Must be able to crawl, stoop, bend, twist and reach overhead frequently.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Must be willing to work overtime including weekends, if required.
