Shift: Nightshift 6pm-6am 3 days on, 2 days off-2 days on, 3 days off. Plus 10% shift differential for nights. Every other weekend will be a 3-day weekend!

Position Description:
Perform preventive maintenance duties; make repairs and modifications to production equipment; troubleshoot, check out and start up new plant equipment. Upgrade skill level in production maintenance to keep up with advances in technology and automation in the production processes.
• Make repairs or modifications to production equipment utilizing the following skills: read pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, ladder logic and electrical schematics; utilize basic electronic test equipment (volt/ohm meter, megger, and amp meter); pneumatics and electrical controls, pipefitting, welding and general mechanic skills.
• Installation, checkout, and start-up of new or modified plant production equipment.
• Perform PMs on production equipment and determine through these regular inspections, the repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent failure of production equipment.
• Complete required documentation of PM's and other repairs on time and accurately.
• Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot production equipment/process to make repairs and improvement and minimize downtime.
• Establish communication, upload, and download PLC programs, troubleshoot using ladder logic.
• Develop and implement safety related improvements jointly with your supervisor. Maintain safety related guards and other systems on your equipment. Review and implement corrections to Lockout/Tagout procedures and drawings as required.
• Complete all required training on time including any TPC, safety, GMP, or CAPA related training as assigned.
• Adhere to cGMP guidelines, SOP's and plant policies/rules.
Requirements:
• Must be able to use tools such as, but not limited to, voltage and amperage meters, oscilloscope, megger, hand tools, welders, sheet metal equipment, measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers, and PLC's and associated software.
• Minimum 2 years related industrial mechanical or industrial electrical experience OR completion of two-year applicable technical school and three years related industrial mechanical or industrial electrical experience.
• Must have a very strong electrical skillset, with the ability to read and translate schematics.

Position Details:
Title: HVAC Field Service Technician – Level III
Locations/Openings: Austin, TX (2 open), San Antonio, TX (1 open), McAllen/Brownsville/Loredo, TX (1 open)
Shift: Typically 6 or 7am – 2:30 or 3:30p Mon.-Fri. Otherwise as needed based on customer service/client needs.
Compensation: $42-$52/hr. starting pay based on experience + O/T + company van & tools + commission-based incentive bonus program + yearly performance reviews and commensurate pay increases + relocation.

Position Description: The HVAC Field Service Technician will perform maintenance of HVAC equipment and repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring. Additionally, you will assist with training and guidance of Level I and II technicians perform advanced independent diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing of all HVAC equipment, including water-cooled single and dual centrifugal chillers up to 200- 2700 tons, screw chillers up to 400 tons, air-cooled chillers up to 530 tons, centrifugal screw templifiers, and magnetic drive chillers 100-700 tons. Key responsibilities include:
• Conduct Warranty Service Application: Independently inspect and test systems to verify functionality.
• Perform Start Ups: Verify functionality of new equipment. Educate customers on proper use of equipment, maintenance schedule, and operating manual.
• Rebuilds/Retrofits: Lead the rebuild and retrofit of a all units. Direct technicians through hands-on demonstration of the necessary steps. Introduce centrifugal rebuilds.
• Jobsite Safety: Wear personal protective equipment when completing service tasks. Complete jobsite hazard assessment prior to initiating service. Adhere to safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Customer Service: Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, verbal, and written communication. Interact with customer by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call. Explain technical information to technical and non-technical audience.
• Support Sales: Communicate potential sales opportunities to the sales staff through the technician tip quote process. Identify and quote opportunities for minor repairs directly to the customer.
• Conduct Training: Responsible for mentorship of service technicians and hands-on training of equipment.
• Document Performance: Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, product quality reports (PQR), and articles as required.
• Computer Usage: Basic data entry and ability to navigate the use of software programs. Download programs into equipment and micro controllers. Analyze chiller trend data to ensure optimal performance.
• Exhibit Compliance: Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and a clean work area are upheld always.
Requirements: Associate degree or equivalent from a Tech/Trade school or Military Training with a certificate in HVAC or military-career field equivalent and 5-10 years’ related experience with increasing responsibility. Experience on large tonnage of HVAC equipment of all kinds, especially chillers, which is required, and both air- & water-cooled service & repair. You will service the chiller itself and compressors. EPA approved Universal Technician Certification. Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
