Position Description:
The Mechanical Engineer will oversee the Engineer of Record's (EOR) mechanical team who is subcontracted to complete the mechanical specifications, piping design, calculations, and mechanical engineering solutions for the project. Position Requirements: Candidates must be able to hit the ground running troubleshooting industrial mechanical or electrical systems and equipment. Electrically candidates must be able to hook up systems and be great with motors and interfaces in a variety of electrical situations. Mechanically candidates must be solid with industrial mechanical equipment, plumbing, and related applications. You will be trained in other areas beyond your skillsets and experience to perform maintenance across the board. All candidates must pass a 10-panel drug screening and have a good background.

Compensation: First Year Compensation = $120k – 160k

Position Description:

Company Service Engineers travel to power plants across the U.S. and are responsible for the maintenance and upgrades to some of the largest and most powerful electrical generation machinery in the world including gas turbines, steam turbines and generators. Your responsibilities will include:

You will work directly with leading staff of field service engineers to develop skills that include equipment operation, maintenance, job site safety, project management, leadership, and company’s business systems
Once you complete training, as a Field Service Engineer, you'll be supervising technicians and mechanics working on turbine generator equipment during power plant maintenance shutdowns (outages), both planned and unplanned system outages which can occur due to equipment performance issues.
Your team will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling turbines and generators
You'll coordinate the upgrading of mechanical and electrical systems on turbine generators to increase power output and efficiency
You will collaborate with company worldwide engineering staff to perform niche mechanical and electrical testing
You will serve as the primary customer contact during outages and ensure repairs are made in a timely and accurate manner
While deployed, you will work extended working hours of up to 12-14 hours per day including weekends/holidays.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will have 4 months off a year (December, January, June, and July)

Requirements: Candidates must have strong backgrounds in industrial electrical maintenance (preferably with turbine generators) with good leadership. Candidates with college degrees are preferred. Candidates with good Project Management skills are preferred. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, strong customer facing skills, and a general desire for travel and field service.

Titles: Maintenance Technician

Location: Houston, TX

Shift: The plant runs 12-hour days and 12-hour night schedule Monday – Saturday, off Sunday. You will work days for 3-months then nights for 3-months on rotation. When fully staffed the plant will shift to a 5am-1pm / 1pm-9pm / 9pm-5am shift schedule.

Compensation: 25.94/hr or 32.88/hr depending on your score of the Ramsey Assessment. Your total pay includes your base hourly rate + OT paid out after 8-hours worked daily + shift differential + quarterly + annual target bonuses with multipliers (typically half paid out quarterly, the balance paid annually) Your expected W2 in a year can range from $114k-145k.

Position Description: The Oilwell Services and Offshore Operations of the company are Union facilities and environments, so coming into the company as a maintenance professional will be both challenging and rewarding. Unless you have steel industry manufacturing experience, you must be capable of moving into an environment where you have the least product knowledge and industry experience yet are the responsible maintenance technician who must produce quality results to keep production rolling. You will be working with a group of experienced steel workers along the path to high productivity and excellence, while mastering the overall aspects of the steel business at the front-line maintenance level. Due to the nature of the business, the facilities operate 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year. Therefore, this position?may require work outside of normal hours during plant shutdown and any unplanned/unforeseen outages.

Maintenance Technician – as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair to facility and production equipment within different areas of the mill. You will be part of the Steel Workers Union workforce that has a tremendous relationship with management throughout the mill. Candidates must have strong troubleshooting and repair skills, and should have experience with the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical or mechanical systems within industrial equipment, facilities, automated systems, and other mechanical/engineering systems. Mechanical systems include hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, power transmission systems, conveyors, compressors, pumps, cranes, piping, structural, and mobile equipment. Ideal candidates will have good mechanical troubleshooting skills and be creative problem solvers.

Requirements: Candidates must have a high-school diploma or GED. Candidates must have the maintenance experience outlined in the position description above in the military, or in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Candidates must have outstanding safety record and good general understanding of maintenance operations. This is a very industrial, blue-collar environment that requires a keen eye for safety. Candidates must pass a pre-employment hair follicle drug test as the company has a zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol for safe steelmaking operations.
