Position Description | Project Engineer

In general, the Project Engineer will lead all other Engineering Groups (process, instrumentation, controls, design & drafting, vessels and purchasing) in performing all tasks required to support the production of the final product. In addition, the Project Engineer will manage the project by coordinating all logistical particulars with the customer and all other departments. The Project Engineer will be responsible for the engineered items including procurement as outlined in the detailed responsibilities listed below.



Training:

The Company will provide sufficient training for all new Project Engineers to help them understand the processes, systems and business models that exist, so that they have the necessary technical aptitude to execute their work efficiently and effectively. The amount of training time devoted will depend on the person’s background, however it is expected that a college graduate will require additional training when compared to a person with work experience. Position Description:

Position Description: The Oilwell Services and Offshore Operations of the company are Union facilities and environments, so coming into the company as a maintenance professional will be both challenging and rewarding. Unless you have steel industry manufacturing experience, you must be capable of moving into an environment where you have the least product knowledge and industry experience yet are the responsible maintenance technician who must produce quality results to keep production rolling. You will be working with a group of experienced steel workers along the path to high productivity and excellence, while mastering the overall aspects of the steel business at the front-line maintenance level. Due to the nature of the business, the facilities operate 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year. Therefore, this position?may require work outside of normal hours during plant shutdown and any unplanned/unforeseen outages.


As a Auto/Deisel Maintenance Mechanic you will have the following responsibilities:
• Service, repair, modify, diagnose, and reassemble vehicles, machinery, & equipment for operation.
• Failure analysis, service, and repairs for customers.
• Troubleshoot electrical, air conditioning, and emissions systems issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance – changing oil, checking batteries, lubrication, etc.
• Repair diesel trucks – engines, alignments, suspension, hydraulics, transmissions, electrical systems.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, etc. for proper, safe, & optimal operation.


Requirements: Candidates must have a high-school diploma or GED. Candidates must have good, safe troubleshooting skills and experience on heavy vehicular systems & equipment. Candidates must have the maintenance experience outlined in the position description above in the military, or in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Candidates must have outstanding safety record and good general understanding of maintenance operations. This is a very industrial, blue-collar environment that requires a keen eye for safety. Maintenance Technician – as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair to facility and production equipment within different areas of the mill. You will be part of the Steel Workers Union workforce that has a tremendous relationship with management throughout the mill. Candidates must have strong troubleshooting and repair skills, and should have experience with the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical or mechanical systems within industrial equipment, facilities, automated systems, and other mechanical/engineering systems. Mechanical systems include hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, power transmission systems, conveyors, compressors, pumps, cranes, piping, structural, and mobile equipment. Ideal candidates will have good mechanical troubleshooting skills and be creative problem solvers.

Position Description:
The Service Technician is customer facing and will be responsible for providing customer service on service calls to conduct troubleshooting and servicing of jib cranes, monorails or overhead cranes to include top running, under running, single girder or double girder cranes. They will work and troubleshoot AC and DC magnetic controls, VFD controls and will install and troubleshoot radio controls. Will learn the mechanical side to work on bearings, gearboxes, couplings, wheels, pinions, oil seals, drive shafts, cross shafting and shaft/ coupling alignment.

Requirements:
A candidate for this role needs to be a Navy Electricians Mate; nuclear or conventional. Need a strong understanding of Electrical Theory and hands on experience. Strong troubleshooting background and knowledge of motor electrical controls. Company will train on the mechanical side of things to ensure the candidate will be successful in this position. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills as they will be customer facing. Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record.
