Pay Rate:
$20.00 - $35.00/hr
Position Summary: In this role you will provide technical expertise and guidance to all levels of technicians. Additional responsibilities include:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair: brake, air systems, electrical, HVAC, drivetrain and transmission, engine and exhaust, suspension, and steering issues
- Engage with external manufacturers and warranty contacts to maximize reimbursement of services
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
- Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection
- Save, tag and deliver parts of the job to the parts department if under warranty or if requested by the customer
- Communicate with service advisor or shop foreman immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlines is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed with promised time
- Communicate with the customer on specific complaints or details of repairs as needed
- Document all work performed and recommended on repair order
- Road test vehicles when required
- Maintain training and education as assigned
