Position Description
As a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to manage all manufacturing employees and provide direction to the cell leaders, complying with all safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards. Responsibilities will include:
• Manage shop floor personnel to meet production schedules.
• Analyze shop data and recommend changes to ensure that utilization and efficiencies meet productivity goals. Support all efforts to minimize the cost of the products manufactured or processed within the facility.
• Monitor the performance, consumable spending and overtime of shop floor personnel.
• Assist the Director of Operations to promote teamwork throughout the organization and coach/mentor people when conflicts arise.
• Motivate and energize team members to ensure that everyone is focused and are all driving towards the same objectives in a positive atmosphere.
• Be responsible for the quality of products manufactured or processed on the shop floor.
• Be responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the areas of responsibility.
• Participate with 6S company requirements and goal achievement to improve all manufacturing areas.
• Ensure all manufacturing employees are performing their duties to the best of their ability.
Position Requirements
• BA or seven (7) years of experience in a manufacturing/production operations environment.
• A minimum of five years of shop floor management is a plus.
• Some knowledge of blueprints and spec requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, and well organized.
