Shift: Monday – Friday, 12-Hour shift- Days (6a-6p) or Nights (6p-6a) Must be willing and able to work both shifts.

Position Description: Unless you have steel industry manufacturing experience, you must be capable of moving into an environment where you have the least product knowledge and industry experience yet are the responsible maintenance technician who must produce quality results to keep production rolling. You will be working with a group of experienced steel workers along the path to high productivity and excellence, while mastering the overall aspects of the steel business at the front-line maintenance level. Due to the nature of the business, the facilities operate 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year. Therefore, this position?may require work outside of normal hours during plant shutdown and any unplanned/unforeseen outages.



As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair to facility and production equipment within different areas of the mill. You will be part of the United States Steel Workers Union workforce that has a tremendous relationship with management throughout the mill. Candidates must have strong troubleshooting and repair skills, and should have experience with the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within industrial equipment, facilities, automated systems, and other mechanical/engineering systems. Electrical systems include motors, controls, motor controls, PLCs, MCCs, AC/DC systems, electrical schematics, analog electronics, AC/DC electrical drives, power conversion, instrumentation, and computer hardware. Ideal candidates will have good mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills and be creative problem solvers.



Requirements: Candidates must have a high-school diploma or GED. Candidates must have the maintenance experience outlined in the position description above in the military, or in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Candidates must have outstanding safety record and good general understanding of maintenance operations. This is a very industrial, blue-collar environment that requires a keen eye for safety. • Shift: 12-hour rotating shift schedule. (Modified Dupont Schedule // during this schedule you will work 7 day shifts and 7 night shifts with 7 off days out of the first 21 days of the 28-day cycle, followed by 7 days off in a row, before the 28-day cycle starts again). This shift is popular with the Company employees because you will get a week off every month, and it allows you to plan your vacation days to give yourself 2 weeks of vacation with only having to use up 3-5 of your vacation days!

Position Description:

Requirements:
From a technical perspective, you must be able to demonstrate good electrical systems troubleshooting and repair skills, as well as a strong working knowledge of such electrical test equipment as multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, and clamp-on ammeters. You must have a demonstrated history of safe work practices and the ability to work with minimal direction. Be prepared to demonstrate the ability to interpret drawings for repair, installation and maintenance of complex electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and equipment. Experience with AC and DC drives (ABB Drives experience a plus), medium and low voltage switchgear, transformers, PLCs, and computers is expected.

Position Description: One of the technologies that MEQ is investing in is a patented non-toxic, non-supersonic blasting formulation and process that will likely revolutionize the heavy mining industry. As a Product Manager for this new technology, you would lead efforts to educate clients on uses and capabilities while also helping with the testing and formulation of the product. As Plant Manager, you will have overall responsibility for activities and personnel of the shred facility. You will lead a team of 25 Union employees (drivers, mechanics, material handlers/warehouse workers, and office workers). Position Description:
Troubleshooting, diagnosing, modifying, fabricating, and repairing mobile and stationary equipment electrical systems, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, drive trains, and track equipment undercarriages by using specialized testing equipment and electrical systems knowledge. Responsible for all tasks related to preventative maintenance programs, such as reposting fluid leaks, performing lube work, taking fluid samples, and inspecting components and parts for proper operation, damage, wear, etc. Repair and replace components and parts as needed. Detailed attention with tune-ups and diagnoses of vehicle malfunction on gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and hydraulic systems. A thorough understanding of A/C and hydraulic troubleshooting/repairing, in addition to an understanding of VIMS, SIS, and ET systems. Solid working knowledge of engines, power trains, electrical, fuel, cooling systems, and power generation, and being able to troubleshoot and repair them. Proficiency must be shown in engine repair, transmission repair, differential repair, hydraulic system repair, and written and welding testing. Ability to read and write instructions, perform simple mathematical calculations, and keep records. Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams. Follow maintenance manuals and parts books to set up and perform tasks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Working knowledge of manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools. Ability to use hand tools and trade-specific tools. Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions is required. In the journeyman electrician role, you will perform electrical work and inspection on wiring, fixtures, outlets, and other electrical components. You will replace and repair electrical equipment and devices as required.
