Position Descriptions:
Retro-Commissioning (RCx) and Building Automation Systems (BAS): The RCx/BAS Specialist is a field technician performing Retro commissioning services for building automation, building envelope and mechanical systems. Some specific responsibilities include:

• Retro-commissioning:
o Provide Software project upload and data insertion.
o Complete onsite testing.
o Collect field reading.
o Perform automation system verification and validation, providing documentation of devices tested.
o Complete daily reports.

• BAS/Construction Installation:
o Retrofit/new construction commercial and light industrial applications.
o Programming of unitary controllers, area controllers, and web-based applications.
o Interact with customer IT professionals regarding web deployment.

In order to be successful in these roles, you should have a working knowledge of electronic/electrical sequencing, controls, schematics, networking, etc, as they relate to Building Automation. Familiarity with such BAS platforms as Schneider Electric, ECOSTRUXURE and Niagara Framework is ideal. Requirements:

Candidates must have top-notch electronic systems knowledge and troubleshooting/repair skills in addition to unparalleled customer service skills (relationship development, conflict management, active listening and problem solving, interpersonal communication, etc.). Experience in the Bio-Medical field is a huge plus, but not required. Candidates must be able to interpret electronic system schematics and flow-charts. A highly tuned mechanical aptitude and the ability to visualize and explain situations and resolutions are also critical in this role. Repairs and maintains plant equipment as assigned, including electric and gas welding, hydraulics, rigging, pipe fitting, pumps, air compressors, vacuum pumps, bearings and seals, power transmissions, gear boxes, equipment settings and alignment. Job requires a thorough knowledge of the load bearing capabilities of the equipment used as well as an understanding of blueprints and technical instructions. Primary purpose of installing, maintaining, upgrading, and fabricating machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Must have a minimum set of hand tools as specified by the Company. Job includes but is not limited to repairing conveyor belts, bucket elevators, crushers, ball mills, screens, pumps, etc. Experience in industrial construction and/or repair may count. Must be able to read and understand blueprints and equipment instructions. Must be able to weld with enough proficiency to pass a Company welding test in both electrical arc and oxygen/acetylene welding and understand the safe handling of welding equipment. Must be able to determine what type of rod to use on different steel and cast-iron types. Our commitment to safety means you must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of safety in the maintenance field. Must be capable of working with a minimum of supervision. Must be able to work all shifts. A written test will be given as part of the Company’s evaluation of aptitude for the job. All work described above is to be done in an efficient and workman-like manner. This position is subject to duties as assigned. This position is subject to shift work.

• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Dismantle machinery or equipment, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
• Moves machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools.
• Constructs foundation for machines, using hand tools and building materials, such as wood cement, and steel.
• Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and plumb bobs.
• Assembles machinery and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools.
• May operate engine lathe or milling machine to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
• Required repair and lubricate machinery and equipment.
• Selects cables, ropes, chains, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves, according to weight and size of load to be moved.
• Attaches load with grappling devices, such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains, to crane hook.
• Sets up braces, and rigs hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches.
• May direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and equipment.
• In addition, may perform all duties of General Laborer, Skilled Laborer and Carpenter and possibly electrician.

• Coordinate eye-hand movements.
• Use hands and fingers fully; reach for, manipulate, and feel objects; stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
• Climb and maintain body balance on ladders, scaffolding, or high structures; and see and hear well (either naturally or with correction)
• Lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Stoop, lay, bend or squat for long periods of time.
