Position Description: Seeking motivated Plant Engineer to plans, directs, and coordinates activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery in the industrial plant. Support the daily activities of all plant processes for operations, production, and maintenance activities including:
Ensure that Safety and Compliance are always followed in all activities.
Collaborate with and support the maintenance and operations personnel on all process and maintenance requirements and/or improvements.
Investigate and solve common cause process variation in the manufacturing plants.
Develop, plan, and execute capital projects for the plant through close collaboration with Operations and Maintenance personnel. Maintain the 3+ year capital plan up to date.
Utilize Six Sigma methodology or other process improvement methods to measure, correct, and control common cause process variation in the production process of the Glass Plant and Refinery.
Support maintenance functions as needed for equipment maintenance, reliability, and improvements.
Maintain the maintenance budget, reporting monthly and quarterly financial information. Prepare the annual budget.
Monitor ongoing expenditures, approve requisitions, obtain quotes, approve invoices, and explain variances.
Provide and coordinate any necessary training for personnel especially for plant reliability or equipment safety.
Lead or assist with completion of root cause problem elimination (RCPE) reports and associated corrective actions.
Responsible for administrative tasks such as the maintenance of plant equipment and system drawings, plant insurance, fire protection systems, vendor/contractor insurance requirements, the Management of Change Process, back flow valve testing, back up requisition ordering, and capital expenditures.
Primary point of contact regarding insurance inspections and annual insurance reviews.
Coordinate with maintenance department for BOM updates and equipment changes. Responsible for ensuring Management of Change process is followed.
Responsible for planning and execution of required internal and external tank inspections.
Good skill level in use of Microsoft Power BI and Digital Twin models for data analysis.
Promote healthy teamwork, communication, and practices with all plant personnel.


Requirements

Master's of Science in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's of Science in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong people skills where one can be a servant leader and team player.
Understanding of data collection and statistical analysis - Six Sigma experience desired.
Ability to obtain Six Sigma certification if not already certified.
Excellent computer skills, including use of computer aided drawing software.
Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI controls, and the ability to design, develop, and implement process and machine control programming in Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC environments.
A good working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and thermodynamics.


Physical Requirements

Answer all customer questions to the best of your ability or put the customer in touch with someone who can. Responsible for making all travel arrangements. If delays are encountered contact the customer and estimate the time of arrival.

Position Description:

The System Testing Analyst will check conditions, fluid levels, overall battery voltage, and specific gravity readings of cells, using voltmeters and hydrometers.

Connect sensing leads to batteries and recording cell float voltages.
Connect portable battery plant with station battery when needed.
Communicate with customer on all necessary connections to equipment. Connect load banks to batteries.
Apply temperature correction factor to discharge load and program test equipment.
Initiate capacity tests, maintaining load at the specified level throughout testing until battery terminal voltage drops below the specified end voltage.
Assist customer personnel in adjustment of charger current limit and output voltage levels.
Check voltage and polarity with a calibrated digital multimeter prior to making any battery connections.
Check for voltage and continuity with a calibrated multimeter prior to making any connections to the load bank(s).
Protect all cables from pinch points, sharp edges, and any short circuits.
Safely and proficiently operate a 20’ straight box truck. Understand the basic theory of reasons for capacity testing.
Proper use of a multimeter and amp clamp. Proper use and selection of PPE.
Understand parallel series circuits. Understand the NPG procedures for testing.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of technical training and hands-on experience in an electronic/electrical role with the US Navy or Airforce. Experience with UPS/Turbine systems and Telecom are a plus. You must also have knowledge and experience with Oscilloscopes, Multi-meters, Hydrometers, and Computer Skills, software skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).



Additional Requirements Include:

Must have satisfactorily completed a pre-employment assessment, background screening, pre-employment physical and DOT drug screen (hair follicle).
Must have a valid driver’s license, insurable driving history and ability to operate a motor vehicle following all traffic laws and safe, courteous driving habits.
