Position Description: In this role you will be responsible for the installation, service, troubleshooting and repair of complex electronic and electromechanical equipment. You will be trained to become an independent “product expert” on selected company product lines. You will be responsible for implementing detailed, complex customer installation plans for both reliability and process and qualification. Complete on-site equipment installations or complex retrofits on equipment

In order to be successful in this role, you should have experience with and a significant working knowledge of Electronics / Avionics and electrical systems. Position Description:
This program is the entry point to the company’s world-class field service organization. Their Field Service Engineers travel to power plants across the U.S. and are responsible for the maintenance and upgrades to some of the largest and most powerful electrical generation machinery in the world including gas turbines, steam turbines and generators.

Your Responsibilities
During your first 12 months, you will complete classroom and lab training in Orlando and participate in on-the-job training with experienced engineers, working at multiple customer sites across the US.
You will work directly with leading staff of field service engineers to develop skills that include equipment operation, maintenance, job site safety, project management, leadership, and the company’s business systems
Once you complete training, as a Field Service Engineer, you'll be supervising technicians and mechanics working on turbine generator equipment during power plant maintenance shutdowns (outages), both planned and unplanned system outages which can occur due to equipment performance issues.
You'll be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling turbines and generators
You'll coordinate the upgrading of mechanical and electrical systems on turbine generators to increase power output and efficiency
You will collaborate with the company worldwide engineering staff to perform niche mechanical and electrical testing
You will serve as the primary customer contact during outages and ensure repairs are made in a timely and accurate manner
While deployed, you will work extended working hours of up to 12-14 hours per day including weekends/holidays.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will have 4 months off a year (December, January, June, and July)

Requirements: The ideal candidate for this job is a PLC-experienced technician who possesses strong electrical skills, has a basic mechanical aptitude, and is an independent-minded, self-motivated individual comfortable working remotely. You must be service-oriented to satisfy client’s needs and build business relationships. Any experience with machinery and conveyor equipment experience is a strong plus as is familiarity with scheduling and expediting the turnaround time on service calls. You must have dependable transportation, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance along with willingness to drive up to 2 hours at beginning and end of day for service work (paid time).

Must be able to read wiring schematics and troubleshoot DC and AC circuits.
