Position Description:

On-call technicians are required to live not further than a 45- minute drive from their assigned facility. Direct supervision may be limited. • Performs all duties in a manner that is safe, compliant, and efficient as well as productive.
• Operates the full range of mechanical and biological assets at the facility. These may include (depending on the specifics of the assigned facility): manure transfer pumps and piping, anaerobic digesters, water and nutrient recovery equipment, fiber separation and drying equipment, and other associated equipment.
• Installation, maintenance, and operation of rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, valves, and motors)
• Installation, maintenance, and operation of stationary equipment (e.g., tanks, piping, and buildings/structures)
• Installation, maintenance, and operation of instrumentation, controls, and other low voltage applications
• Conducts the full range of maintenance activities required at the assigned facility. These include (but are not limited to): all routine maintenance, non-routine maintenance, and repairs for stationary equipment such as buildings, tanks, and piping as well as for rotating equipment like valves with manual, electric, or pneumatic operators; submersible and long-axial mixers, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps and blowers.
• Performs variety of process- and quality control related duties including collecting, analyzing, packaging, and shipping, documenting, and reporting samples of various gases, liquids, and solids.
• Conduct elevated work and confined space entries.
• Adheres to every safety policy and procedure. These will include procedures for: control of hazardous energy (Lock-out/Tag-out), incident reporting, spill response, fire response, confined space entry, hazardous atmosphere operations, hot work, safe electrical work, and others.

Conduct daily visits to specified local CYs to ensure that all M&R issues are addressed, and that Company Policies are enforced. Provide detailed written reports of any problems to the CY Manager.
Assist locations in continuously investigating ways and means to reduce overall M&R costs while ensuring service levels are not compromised
Monitor and control spare parts inventory levels of company-owned parts
Respond to all correspondence ASAP, no later than one working day
Review work order input in M&R system on a daily basis and transmit work orders daily
Discuss and resolve work order input discrepancy with M&R vendors
Perform monthly safety review
Conduct shop site audits for all responsible locations
Track and order license plates for chassis
Coordinate off-hire and scrap chassis programs


Requirements:
5+ years of experience in chassis and/or trailer maintenance and repair.
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience
Ability to effectively communicate company policy and procedures.
Ability to identify problems via visual inspections and seek solutions.
Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet daily requirements.
Interface credibly with vendors and terminal personnel.
Must pass a background check, drug screening (including CBD), and have a clean driving record
