Orion Talent Honored as a 2022 VETS Indexes Recognized Employer
March 14, 2022 - Orion Talent is proud to announce that it has earned the designation VETS Indexes Recognized Employer, as part of the 2022 VETS Indexes Employer Awards. The award recognizes the organization’s commitment to recruiting, hiring, retaining, developing, and supporting veterans and the military-connected community.
“Orion Talent has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to veterans and the military community, through its efforts to recruit, support, and promote those who served our country bravely,” said George Altman, managing director of VETS Indexes, “One of the best ways to help veterans is to connect them with fulfilling and meaningful careers, at organizations where they can develop their skills and grow into senior leaders. As a VETS Indexes Recognized Employer, Orion Talent has proven to be a welcoming home for veterans and military spouses who want to start the next phases in their lives.”
As the most objective and comprehensive evaluation of veteran employers, the VETS Indexes Employer Awards have been featured on CNBC, as well as military-specific outlets, including Military.com. Their in-depth survey and recognition program analyze employers’ policies, practices, and outcomes in detail, across the following 5 categories:
- Veteran job candidate recruiting and hiring
- Veteran employee development and retention
- Veteran-inclusive company policies and culture
- Support for members of the National Guard and Reserves
- Military spouse/family support
"Orion Talent has supported the military and hired from its ranks for more than 30 years. Being named a 2022 VETS Indexes Recognized Employer is an incredible honor as we work to teach other companies about the many benefits of recruiting and retaining veterans. I am thankful to lead this special company, built on a foundation of purpose and helping service members transition into civilian life," says Sarah Peiker, CEO of Orion Talent.
Nearly 120 organizations submitted surveys to be considered for the awards. Responding organizations included companies large and small, government agencies and departments, nonprofit groups, colleges, and universities. Not all organizations that submitted surveys were recognized with awards. The VETS Indexes Employer Awards are reserved only for employers whose veteran-related efforts stand out from the pack, as the best. Click here to see the full slate of awardees.
